Servido – Terms of Service for Customers

1. General

Welcome to the Servido app!
These are Servido’s general terms of service, which define the terms for using the app, the services it contains and the related data. Servido Oy (hereinafter “Servido”, “we”, “the service” or “the app”) provides a digital platform through which users can order services from independent service providers.

By using the Servido app, the user accepts these terms of service in their entirety.
Servido protects the privacy of its users – information concerning the processing of data can be found in a separate privacy policy.

2. Use of the app

2.1 To use the Servido app, the user must install the app on their mobile device (Android or iOS).
2.2 Downloading the app is free of charge, but the user is responsible for their own mobile data and network usage costs.
2.3 Use of the app requires creating a user account. During registration, the user is asked for their name, address, phone number and email address, and the account is verified with a code sent by text message.
2.4 Creating an account requires accepting these terms and the privacy policy.
2.5 The user may edit or delete their own data in the app at any time.
2.6 Servido may delete or suspend a user account if the terms are violated or the app is misused.
2.7 The user is responsible for their account credentials and for all activity carried out through it.

3. Ordering services

3.1 Servido acts as a platform that connects customers and service providers. Services are always performed directly by the service provider, and Servido is not responsible for the outcome, schedule or quality of the work.
3.2 Ordering a service takes place through the app or website by selecting the desired service and filling in the required information. The order is confirmed by paying for the service or by providing payment method confirmation.
3.3 A contractual relationship is formed between the customer and the service provider once Servido has confirmed the order.
3.4 An order may be cancelled as follows:

  • free of charge, if the order has not yet been confirmed, in which case the payment is refunded.
  • at least 24 hours before the work begins, 25 % of the service price is charged.
  • less than 2 hours before the work begins, 50 % of the price is charged.

The customer should note that for some assignments the work (assessment or ordering of the necessary supplies) may begin before arrival at the location. The work is considered to have begun when the service provider starts assessing the work or otherwise preparing to carry out the task.

4. Payments and invoicing

4.1 The payment is reserved when the work is ordered, and is released to the service provider only once the work has been performed.
4.2 The payment is processed securely through the Stripe payment service. Accepted payment methods include, for example, a credit card or another supported payment method.
4.3 Servido acts as an intermediary for payments, but not as the provider of the service.

5. Prices and additional work

5.1 The prices shown in the app include the applicable value added tax.
5.2 If the service provider finds that the scope of the work differs from what was stated in the order, they may propose a price adjustment.
5.3 If the customer does not accept the new price, the work will, where possible, be carried out in its original scope.
5.4 Additional work may be carried out with the customer’s approval through the app.

6. Liability and limitations

6.1 Servido is not a party to the contract between the customer and the service provider.
6.2 Servido is not responsible for the performance of the service, for delays or for damages.
6.3 The user is responsible for the correct use of the app and for any misuse.
6.4 Servido is not responsible for service interruptions, data communication disruptions or faults caused by third parties.
6.5 The user accepts that Servido is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages.

7. Excluding a user from the service

Servido may block a user’s access to the app if:

  • the terms are violated,
  • incorrect information is used,
  • the app is used fraudulently or harmfully,
  • the operation of the service is manipulated,
  • the service provider gives the user a poor rating.

8. Intellectual property rights

All content of the Servido app, including the name, logo, graphics, texts and software, is the property of Servido.
The content may not be copied, modified or distributed without Servido’s written permission.
The user may not attempt to decompile, modify or commercialise the app’s software.

9. Liability in app stores

If the app has been downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, the user accepts that the agreement is with Servido, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the content or operation of the app.

10. Dispute resolution and applicable law

10.1 In the event of any dispute, the user should first contact Servido’s customer service: asiakaspalvelu@servido.co.
10.2 These terms of service and the use of the Servido app are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation shall be finally settled by arbitration before a sole arbitrator in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce. The seat of arbitration is Helsinki, Finland, and the language of the proceedings is Finnish. The arbitrator’s decision is final and binding on both parties.

11. Changes to the terms

Servido may update the terms or the content of the app at any time. Users will, where possible, be notified of material changes through the app.
